About Shirley

As an intuitive counselor, coach, and spiritual development instructor Shirley works with many different realms including angels, elementals, spirit guides and our deceased loved ones.   Shirley is an open vessel of the Divine continually receiving information that can assist you on many different levels throughout your life. Growing up as an only child in a traditional Christian family she was referred to as being an overly sensitive, extremely shy child with an overactive imagination.  At age 7, she had a visitation from her deceased grandfather who warned her of danger around something she was about to do.  Shirley heeded his warning which ultimately saved her life.  Growing up her gifts of clairvoyance (clear seeing) and clairsentience (clear feeling) were quite distracting until finally one day she quit fighting her gifts and learned to embrace them and use them as her guiding force in her life each day.

Being a natural born caregiver, Shirley worked in private duty nursing and hospice for many years as well as being the primary caregiver for many other family members.   She has been with numerous people as a comforting and peaceful witness when they have made their transition/passing over to the other side.   Shirley believes the body may cease to function but the soul is eternal. It is no wonder that Shirley is so connected with the other side.

For the last 13 years I’ve dedicated my personal and professional life to the importance of loving, accepting and caring for myself by teaching from what I’ve come to know from my own experiences.  In the past, I’ve sacrificed both my health and my true life’s work by continually over giving to others at the expense of my own health.  I watched my dreams stagnate on the back burner quietly waiting for someday to finally arrive.   Until finally 8 years ago I was diagnosed with two “incurable illnesses” and was put on numerous heavy-duty medications.  All along I always knew that the day would come when these conditions would no longer exist within my body and, that my healing would come.

As of a result of doing my deep inner work and listening to my body, I am so happy and thankful to report that as of June 2012, I am in complete remission of both afflictions.

After sharing my test results with me, my Rheumatologist asked “To what do you attribute this miraculous turn of events to? ”  I replied, “Doing what I love for a living and being mindful with what I put in my body.” Then he said, “That does it every time.”  I wish I would have known this years ago to have been able avoid all the pain and discomfort but it is a part of my journey that needed to be experienced for my own soul’s growth.  Sometimes, in order for us to get the message, the universe taps us on the shoulder and other times we need a full “body slam” to get it.  I consider this my wake-up body slam and, for the record, I got the message loud and clear.

During this time I’ve learned a lot about what it takes to finally put an end to all the craziness and discomfort. I have grown and evolved  and along the way I have collected many self-empowering tools and resources that I continue to use in my everyday life. As a client, I will share with you what I’ve come to know and embrace to help you improve your own life and well being.  I care deeply about our people and our planet. My life’s purpose is to assist individuals in raising conscious mindfulness to learn and grow in ways that profoundly improve the quality of life for our people, planet, and all the generations yet to come.

From years of personal experience, along with counseling and coaching numerous individuals, I have learned that putting ourselves at the top of our priority list is not selfish, it is necessary. When we truly love and care for ourselves, it radiates outward and we naturally begin to love and care for others – our families, our friends, our community, and our planet – in more balanced, healthier, and productive ways. As we begin to speak our truth from  a place of love and compassion we make better choices that are based in unconditional love that serves the highest and best for all concerned. By choosing to no longer make decisions based on obligation, guilt, or fear we begin to discover that we’re all connected to one another. Our individual actions/decisions affect not only our lives but also the lives of all of us collectively as a whole.

Blessings on your journey!
